photo of Kevin Kelly Kevin Kelly from San Francisco State University is the recipient of the 2009 CATS Distinguished Service Award.

Kevin‘s impact on the CATS community has been far reaching. Kevin served on the CATS Executive Council for 3 years (2005-2008). He has also presented at virtually every CATS conference covering topics such as Moodle, ePortfolio 101, and he is an active contributor to the CATS listserv. In addition, Kevin was instrumental in launching the CATS Knowledge Base, a repository where CATS members share how-to articles and information with each other to increase productivity as they approach their use of common software, procedures, and best practices. His work with the CSU Center for Distributed Learning also advances CATS’ mission, whereby SF State is now recognized as a Leadership campus for ePortfolios and Moodle development.

His many contributions as a CATS member at SF State are also significant. He encourages his peers and staff to participate and share their skills, knowledge and projects with one another as well as the entire CATS community on topics such as QuickGuides, Moodle, ePortfolios, Accessible Javascript, and the POWER room reservation system.

We congratulate Kevin and thank him for his generosity of spirit.
