CATS Accessibility Resources
CSU Accessible Technology Initiative Website
The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) reflects
the California State University's (CSU) ongoing commitment to provide
access to information resources and technologies to individuals with
disabilities. This commitment is articulated in Executive Order 926 (EO 926)
.
The ATI website
contains a wealth of information and resources related to accessibility including policies, workplans, training, tips and tutorials, and links to web resources.
Video: Web Accessibility: Access for All
Each CSU campus received a copy of this 10-minute video, which provides an overview of web accessibility while offering insights into disabled users' experiences. A presenter's guide (PowerPoint slides and text files) as well as information about online resources, are available at the website.

introducing web accessibility in a workshop or classroom setting.
Again, each CSU campus received a copy.
Additional copies of these products are available for purchase. Contact Candace Egan.

Center for Alternative Media (CAM) (requires password to access materials)
Two TIGERS grants focused on AB422, which mandates that electronic versions of textbooks be made available to students with disabilities. After conducting a systemwide survey to gather information about practices and costs, the data was used to implement a shared database to provide information about campus practices. The systemwide Center for Alternative Media (CAM) was a result of these projects.
