1-Day Virtual CATS - Friday, May 4

As a culmination to the three regional f2f meetings, a set of presentations in a 1-day virtual environment (presented in "Collaborate") rounds out CATS2012 on Friday, May 4. 

The programs for each part of CATS2012 are being presented independently, so you will reap the most benefit by attending at least one regional and the virtual. event. All events are intended to complement one another.

In addition to the Keynote address, a number of 45-minute presentations (including Q&A) that will focus on Academic Technology & Learning Outcomes and Nuts & Bolts of Technology will be given.

Keynote: THE CSU, MERLOT, and Affordable Learning Solutions

Brett ChristieGerry Hanley, Senior Director, Academic Technology Services, CSU Office of the Chancellor, keynotes the CATS2012 virtual event. Gerry will speak about the CSU's Affordable Learning Solutions Campaign is designed to enable faculty to choose and provide quality educational content that is ore affordable for their students. In partnership with MERLOT, the ALS website — which has a new mobile portal — directs users to information about no/low cost hands-on and digital content. ALS resources include the MERLOT Content Builder, which provides authoring tools for faculty content creation; library integrations for campus LMSes; free, digital, interactive content; accessibility information and support; and Choice, a digital rental program. Learn how you can support your faculty in using the ALS site and resources to help make learning for affordable for students.
