Welcome!

The Community of Academic Technology Staff (CATS) is collaborative community of practice and interest. Its primary goal is to provide professional development opportunities for California State University academic technologists to increase their knowledge, productivity, and personal effectiveness in service of the system's academic mission and their campus's educational technology goals. CATS was founded in 1998 by the CSU Center for Distributed Learning. Over 550 CSU staff participate in CATS programs.

With leadership from its Executive Council, the Community offers a variety of programs to its members. The linchpin of these programs is the annual face-to-face conference that takes place on a different CSU campus each year. This website provides in-depth information about each CATS program.

Does your work at an institution of higher education involve enhancing the teaching and learning process through the use of technology? If so, you are invited to become a member of this thriving community. Please join.
