TIGERS GRANTS

Technology Integration Grants for Educational Resource Sharing (TIGERS)

TIGERS project grants were initiated in 1999 as another way to provide professional development opportunities to members of the CSU Community of Academic Technology Staff, and to enable project members to create technical tools and other resources that can be shared throughout the CSU system. Each year specific initiatives are suggested (e.g., ADA compliance), and multi-campus project teams are encouraged.

How are projects selected?

Project proposals must be consistent with the purpose of the TIGERS funds, i.e., they must address a significant common need within the system, with multi-campus benefits for the CSU. TIGERS funds can be used for staff time (in the form of release time or stipends), travel, supplies, or specialized software needed to complete the project. Hardware may not be purchased with TIGERS grant funds. Project team members must have written approval by their supervisors in order to participate.

As part of the grant requirements, recipients must submit their products and a written report to the CSU Center for Distributed Learning, and present their finished product at the annual CATS conference or through other venue. Completed products are posted to the Community website for distribution.

Proposals

Proposals are being accepted for the 2006/2007 TIGERS grant cycle. The deadline for submission is September 29.

You are invited to view a typical Request for Proposals as well as funded proposals and their work products.
